More Fun with HitF/X. This is data for both leagues in April.
Hey all, so I have limited time to work on this, so I will share what I have so far.
I extracted vertical angle and velocity data on HITF/X from April.
The question, whats the difference between a double and a homer?
I cleaned up what looked like bad data, but might have killed some good data along with it (horizontal angles that started outside the foul lines)
I will be doing more later when I have time.....

Baseball is working on a new tracking system called Hit F/X
They have published lots of test data from April for people to play with....

Well.....I just started geeking out.....alot of people have already started breaking ground.....but I will start with something fast and easy......BATTED BALL velocity......SPEED OFF THE BAT

I omitted bunts as they would unfairly skew the data
