If I told you a Giants pitcher, had a no hitter through 6, Zito would be the last pitcher you would think it would be…..well….ok…..maybe Sanchez…..but that's just because Sanchez can't make it to the 6th…….so anyway….After getting blown out of the water earlier in the week, everyone's mind drifted back to the putrid performance from 2007 and most of 2008……Zito looked like he was throwing batting practice to the Angels as knocked him out of the game in a fourth inning that included 6 runs, 4 extra base hits, and an RBI Single from an AL Pitcher……Zito needed a big game to gain back the fans, but to also soothe the unicorns and elven faires in his head……Things didn't look good as Zito walked the first two batters of the game, and allowed a sinking line drive to center that Rowand smothered ….but then after getting Jones on a called 3rd strike curve, and Cruz a chopper to 3rd….Zito was in quietly in command……hell, it was one of those games where you looked up and it was already the 7th inning, and you were just getting comfortable in your seat……So Good work Mr Narnia…Nice bounce back in the 1st and nice bite on the curve, and the velocity is looking fine…....and don't worry folks, he may get blown out of the water every once in a while…..but the 2007-08 Zito is thankfully a thing of the past…..Hell….I didn't even mention the 8 K's
