2009 Food Review #3 GIGANTE TACO SALAD

2009 Food Review #3 GIGANTE TACO SALAD

Name: Gigante Taco Salad
Price: $7.75
Location: Joe Garcia, Field Club (also in Club Level)
Condiments: I did splash some Tapatio on this
Cooked: Varies…..think Meat was Grilled
Size: Large
Detail:
Had my eye on this one….saw a few people eating the other day and it looked pretty good…Had it planned all day…Light Breakfast…..Light Lunch…..Pig out for Dinner was the plan…….So straight from the gate to the food…. I lined up behind a Dodger fan....I eyed his binoculars and thought it odd he brought them for Field Club seats….and then it dawned on me…..I asked him if it was Liquor…he said "It was before it was dumped out at the gate"……his Giants fan friend then chimed it…."I was smart and just got a flask in my pocket"……Yeah, the LA fan deserved it for getting too fancy…………
But I digress…….So you have a choice of meats…..so I opted for Cow……you can choose toppings…. so I asked for the works……..I got a nice looking fat ass bowl of stuff and paid the cashier…….I grabbed a fork and napkins and dug into my bounty……..Lets see……Meat…..nice Mexican Spice to it…..small pieces and a little chewy…but not tough……Add the Guac, Beans, Sour Cream, Salsa, Cheese, a little Green Onion and we got a meal….wait a second….WHERE'S THE LETTUCE????.....I start mixing the thing, and I can only find a light sprinkling of lettuce at the bottom…..too hungry and lazy to get more lettuce…. I dig in…..Guac was good quality, without much spice……Beans….well….soft and firm….Salsa was mild…..Green Onion pieces were a bit large…but overall the components were pretty good…..but this dish was WAY OUT OF BALANCE……The meat and what little lettuce there was couldn’t support the Gooey Guac and Sour Cream…..it was like eating mouthfuls our Guac/ Sour Cream with a sprinkle of Meat and Lettuce…..I found myself breaking the walls of the bowl off and dipping like chips just to add some balance……Could have been SOOO much better if they just balanced it out…….I will likely go back and "COACH" the assembly of the salad……………
As far as the other stuff here…I would think the Taco and Burrito are worth a shot considering the pretty good quality of the components…Not really spicy at all, even with the hot sauce added….. now that I think about it….. some Jalapeno's could have taken this to another level…dammit the sign says they have them, but I guess I need to ask for them specifically,,,,..…..Overall not horrible, but lots of potential……Good size for the money at $7.75……heck….restaurants wouldn't be much cheaper ….especially in the City……

OVERALL RATING
3 sombreros
Probably generous score considering the experience……
This has potential to be 3 1/2 or 4….with more Lettuce and some Jalapenos

GAMEBALL and JOKE 4/29 DODGERS at GIANTS

GAMEBALL and JOKE
4/29 DODGERS at GIANTS

GAMEBALL

MOLINA

The ageless slug of a man known as Bengie Molina…..the forgotten unwanted free agent of the 06-07 offseason……has been nothing less than a GODSEND for the punchless Giants…..now at age 34 Bengie's is solid behind the plate and his bat is better than ever….and that’s AFTER logging 134 and 145 games ….BOTH CAREER HIGHS….
Tonight Bengie stole the show, First with an RBI TRIPLE you could have clocked with a SUNDIAL…..and then Bengie piled on with a rainbow shot into the seats …..and then in the 8th he answered the Dodger Rally with a 2 out RBI single ……..
So don't think Posey at Catcher will be a panacea for the Giants offense, in fact……make sure this kid logs some time at 3rd……He's got the arm, he's got the glove, and you won't have to worry about 3rd for a long time…….
You can have a 2010 lineup with……
Lewis LF
Renteria SS
Sandoval 1B
Molina C
Posey 3B
Schierholtz RF
Rowand CF
Burriss/ Franny 2B

Sure it ain't murder's row…..but is Ishikawa washes out…take Molina and Winn out of the lineup…..and the Giants are hard pressed to score 1 run a night….

TIP OF THE CAP :
RENTERIA
Ripping line drives all over the field….funny thing about being overpaid…….you produce and people seem to forget you are overpaid……..(see Winn, Randy)

URIBE
Couple knocks, and a couple solid, but unspectacular plays at 3rd…….certainly not the best fielder…..but on that DP in the 8th….once I saw the ball hit to him…..I knew he would make the right choice…..THROW TO 1st

TIMMY
Timmy being Timmy…..not spectacular…..but hey…..we're spoiled at this point……Once you saw 3 runs on the board, you know that the Giants were going to hold the lead as long as Tim was on the mound……

NATE
Nothing like some good leftie on leftie action…..

TEAM
BEAT LA……good job…….take a series from the Dodgers……you GOTTA love it………

JOKER

SCHMIDT

Was a good Giant……WAS…..now he is just a overpaid has been in blue struggling to break 88 on the gun……
Part of me wants to feel bad about Jason's early demise…..but then I remember he's fucking Dodger and I just start giggling……
Don't worry Jason, when you get out of that Sickening Blue Uni, we will like you once more……that is, as long as you don't pull a Kent or Butler quote out of your ass
(hey, it can't be Bochy EVERY night……)

SMACK OF THE STICK :
Dodger Starters……
Honestley, I am thinking I overestimated the Dodger starting staff……and so did Colletti…..
Billingsley…….solid solid solid…..I say about even with Cain
After that?????
Kershaw……Lincecum like Potential…..but a high school pick…not sure if he's there yet
Kuroda….unspectacular, but good……and on the shelf
Wolf……..a Sabermetric tease…….
#5???? hey….29 teams have a hole here…….McDonald…not impressed
So what do they have?
1 starter and 4 question marks……..if this holds up over the year……we might have a race….
Colleti is kicking himself for not getting the Unit…
QUICK….NED…..trade a bunch of prospects for Ian Snell!!!

GAMEBALL and JOKE 4/27 DODGERS at GIANTS

GAMEBALL and JOKE
4/27 DODGERS at GIANTS

GAMEBALL

ZITO

The $126 Million man was less than stellar tonight…..but he managed to pitch his way out of most of his jams taking a scoreless game into the 7th inning……
88.4 MPH Peak……86.4 MPH Ave on the Fastball…..
Is it just enough to keep hitters off the curve?
Is it just a indication that all his mechanics are working?
Did he finally realize that there is more to life than fast cars, hot chicks, fancy houses, expensive clothes, virtually limitless power that comes with being the most handsome, most intelligent, most powerful person in the universe???? What was I talking about again??? Oh…….BARRY…..good job you human buttplug…..here is your GAMEBALL

TIP OF THE CAP :
DODGER DEFENSE
HOOOOOO…….HAAAAAAA………HEEEEEEEE………was that Steve Sax out there……Man did you see Mike Marshall run into John Shelby???? Can believe Pedro Guerrero didn't come home with the ball….NO????
So they can hit….they can pitch…….too bad they play defense as well as the Golden State Warriors…….

BARRY LAMAR BONDS

WILSON
Good job or redemption Twitter-Boy
2 for 2
1) Take down that stupid fucking site
2) Blow BB's past the Dodgers for a save
All is well in Faux Hawk land once again

PABLO
Plated Rowand with a golf shot up the middle…..and personal catcher for Zito????
Heck…..don't fuck with a good thing

JOKER

BOCHY

Couldn't find the right spot for MERKIN????
Couldn't find the right spot for MERKIN????
So the "RIGHT SPOT" is a 1 run lead with men on versus the 1st place Dodgers in front of a blood thirsty ATT Crowd after 10 days off????
FUCK YOU BOCHY……you had at least 4 chances to bring him in during less pressure situations and keep him fresh……Instead Howry Affeldt Wilson Affeldt Howry Wilson Affeldt Medders Wilson Miller Wilson Affeldt Howry repeat…….
Way to beat the hell out of 3 pitchers while keeping Merkin ICE COLD……fucking JOKER

SMACK OF THE STICK :
SHARKS
Fucking BAIT…….don't do a bit of good to dominate the game if you can't put the biscuit in the basket……..Heck, I think the Cubs feel sorry for you

GAMEBALL and JOKE 4/26 GIANTS at DBACKS

GAMEBALL and JOKE
4/26 GIANTS at DBACKS

GAMEBALL

PANDA

Low scoring pitchers duel….every chance the Giants got….they seemed to squander…….and then in the 8h after Cain is pulled for a pinch hitter ….Panda to the rescue crushing a 3 run blast into the Right Field Seats….giving the W to Cain……(or so it seemed)…….the PANDA is BACK…….so Mr Sandoval….Mr 4 for 4…..here is today's GAMEBALL………and get your Official San Francisco Giants Panda Ears here…..only $10 in Dugout Stores and by calling 1-800-BLED-U-DRY…….

(most definitely NOT Mickey Mouse Ears with a Giants Logo and 48…..)

TIP OF THE CAP :
ROWAND
BAT…..BALL…….BAT…….BALL……see, it wasn’t that hard……

MOLINA
The enchanted stick of Bengie got two more knocks…..

CAIN
I don't know about you, but it seems like we got a different kid out there this year……Confident….Aggressive……Cain looks like he might have actually turned the corner from a solid starters……to ….dare I say it…..AN ACE…….perhaps not THE ACE of a staff with Lincecum on it……but this guy looks like a #1 to me…..and probably about 15 other teams……

JOKER

WILSON

CRAP….save chances don't get any easier than that…….3 run lead….1 inning of work……Goose Gossage Laughs at your Save Chance…..and yet the Faux Hawk sporting flame thrower…..got slapped around like Riahanna at a pre-Grammy Party…only this time the victim was Cain, as he flashed back to the frustration of 2008…….So run those stairs Brian……you're the JOKE

SMACK OF THE STICK :
BOCHY
Now that Schierholtz has been spotted, what the hell happened to Merkin????
10 days without an appearance…I can only imagine he is hurting…..

WINN/RENTERIA
0-5 with runners in scoring position…Double Play,2 K's, to Grounders to the Pitcher……

UPTON
How old is this kid? 16?......Shouldn't you be in school?

VELEZ
With instincts like that…..I can understand why Lions eat their young……

ISHIKAWA
Brian Bocock called, he wants his bat back…..

GAMEBALL and JOKE 4/24 GIANTS at DBACKS

That Pitching Machine called the Giants rotation, keeps chewing them up and spiting them out……and Tim kept it rolling with a dominate performance to open the series in the desert…….as the Giants win their first road game of the year……..yeah……on April 24th

GAMEBALL and JOKE
4/24 GIANTS at DBACKS

GAMEBALL

MOLINA

Despite the wear and tear on that lumpy body, Bengie is still the clutchiest (it’s a word, I swear) bat in the Giants lineup……and tonight Bengie came through again with a corkscrew shot over the fence in left and a booming double off the glove of Chris Young in near the 413 mark in right center…..add that to a bad ass block in the first inning preventing a run scoring wild pitch and Bengie had one hell of a night………So as the Giants consider the fate of the free agent to be, just remember our offense might not be "improved" if we hand the catcher duties over to Buster next year…..cause as good as Buster promises to be….well…..Bengie is pretty damn good right here right now……

TIP OF THE CAP :
TIMMY
Goddamn I love watching this kid….All you need to know about Tim was that at bat in the first vs Mark Reynolds,….nursing a 1 run lead…….on a 2-1 count…..he fed Reynolds 3 straight changeups…..swing through, foul tip, swing through for the K…..man…Tim has already evolved from a kid with pure sick stuff….into a fearless pitcher that can mix in 3 PLUS pitches…….just be glad the Giants don't have to hit against him……

RENTERIA
Got the party started in the first, with an oppo shot taking advantage of the this Arizona air…..

AURILIA
HEY….he got a hit…..and an RBI….and for this team, every RBI is a BIG one…..

JOKER

BOCHY

I try not to second guess too much, but this left my head a-scratching…….
After pulling Timmy in a tie game after 98 pitches to hand the ball over to a shaky pen….....with a 4 run lead….and sitting on 110 pitches….he sends Timmy back out there to hit and then finish the 8th….. at 123…….
Good god, if there is anytime to save Timmy its when the lead looks to be safe…….
so with no chance of the "important psychological" complete game or shutout…..with a lead that looked to be safe…..5 days removed from talking about saving Tim's arm…long season….. BLAH BLAH BLAH……you turn things on its head and send him back out there for 123 pitches…….Now….maybe I don't have a problem with that if it wasn’t for all the shit you said a week ago……and we have a fully rested pen (albeit short 1 Hishaw)…..
And sure a 4 run lead might not be safe in t he desert….but when the hell are you going to give Merkin the ball????
He was a WEAPON last April when healthy…..and I don't think he is hurt……..and that’s now 8 days without an appearance…..good god, Jose Canseco gets more work than Merkin……..

SMACK OF THE STICK :
MANNY
I hate to do it…..but what happened to that aggressive line drive bat we saw in spring……now we got this slapping deer caught in headlights judy hitter…..almost like you went to the Todd Linden school of hitting…..
Called Strike three
Slapping a ball 1 inch of the ground about 10 feet
A chopped 2 hopper to Short
A slapped Pop up to 3rd…..
If you added the distance traveled from all your at bats it wouldn't reach the center fielder…….
You're making Bocock look like Pujols…….

Barry Zito's Fastball is almost fast now?????

OK, so you have heard about Zito's velocity being "back" and that he has good stuff……well I compiled pitchfx data from 2008 tried to find a correlation between game score (Bill James invention used as an alternative to "Quality Start") and pitch velocity/ velocity differential (difference between Fastball and Curve, and Fastball and Changup). I did not find any correlation between game score and velocity differential, however the correlation coefficient of 0.422 for Average Velocity and 0.418 for Max Velocity……and for those who are way less geeky than me, means there is a relation, albeit not strong. This is actually a fairly strong correlation when looking at something as variable as human baseball performance (and not physics or chemistry).

So lets cut the data a few ways a take a look

from 2008 data
7 games Average Fastball less than 84 = Ave Game Score 36.5
21 games Average Fastball from 84-86 = Ave Game Score 43.7
4 games Average Fastball above 86 = Ave Game Score 70.0

Below you can see a graph of game score versus Fast Ball Velocity

Now lets look at the correlation between Velocity and Date
Now we have all heard about "Zito turned it around in the 2nd half" and all that shit, and honestly looking at the stats and him pitching I didn't buy it…..but maybe there really is something there……

Average Fastball Velocity by month (averaged by start, not by pitch)
84.2 MPH March/ April
83.8 MPH May
84.9 MPH June
85.3 MPH July
85.5 MPH August
86.0 MPH September
86.7 MPH April 2009

So Far this year

4/10 Ave 86.7 Max 88.4
4/16 Ave 87.1 Max 89.1
4/22 Ave 86.3 Max 89.3

Now it may not seem like much but it is just an average, and perhaps its enough to help keep hitters off the balance, or maybe its mental and the velocity gives Zito more confidence…..who knows…but I like the trend……

So maybe, just maybe…..this douchey son of a bitch might become a serviceable 4th starter….or maybe he pitches just well enough that the Mets will take us off our hands…..for 50% of his contract……

Click graph for version in new window

The graph above plots FB Velocity (y axis) versus Game SCore (x axis)
The Velocity is up and down for low game scores, meaning he was knocked around with slow and decent fastballs.
But notice on the high end of the game score, the fastball velocity better more consistently.

This means that his best games came with high velocity, whereas his worst games had high and low relative velocity.

The graph above has velocity as the y axis and date of start as the x axis.
This graph jumps back and forth from start to start. But look at the dark green trendline as his fastball is higher and higher as the year passes....

The last graph is a variation on the first graph, but turned on its side. Here Game Score is the Y Axis and MPH is the X axis. Look at the 65 game score line, he had 6 games above this line, and 4 of thos games are all the way on the right, which means these were his 4 best velocity days....

GAMEBALL and JOKE 4/22 PADRES AT GIANTS

Holy shit, did we just make it through a full turn of the rotation and give out 5 straight gameballs????

Get this in the past 5 games
7 1/2 innings per game
0.519 ERA
0.837 WHIP
8.8 K/9
5.7 K/BB
That’s just SICK

GAMEBALL and JOKE
4/22 PADRES AT GIANTS

GAMEBALL

ZITO

Well the weak man in the rotation looks 1/2way decent, sure it was the lowly Padres, but these very same Padres just finished beating the crap out of us about 2 weeks back now…..and it feels like an eternity after the shit we have seen on this homestand……
And what a difference a year makes for Barry Zito…..with an arm strengthened by Canyons (and for all we know, Christy Canyon)….like his last start ,,,,,he again had a fastball topping out at 89 and averaging over 86….which might not seem like much…..but it may be just enough to keep hitters off his curve……..
So despite being a douche, who bangs hot chicks on piles of cash while twittering about getting an organic chai enema…he does deserve todays… GAMEBALL……..
(More on ZITO a little later tonight)

TIP OF THE CAP :
Holy Crap, where do we begin……
BIG MONEY
In a game where no one could score, he put a charge into one with a walk off double

TORRES
Got the rally started in the 10th, and just plays a sweet centerfield…….Its like they grafted Omars Confidence and swagger onto Velez's tools…….got a good feeling about this 31 year old kid…….

BURRISS
Consitent offensive threat, was on base with speed all day

AFFELDT
Bailed Howry's ass out of the fire…..overpaid? Fuck that…..if he keeps that up…worth every goddamn penny

SANDOVAL
Didn’t embarrass himself behind the plate, and a bunt hit….CLASSIC……

WILSON…..
Hey, got it done

JOKER

MANNY

Hard to get too down, but not sure whats going on in Manny's head……Like they say, physical errors happen, but mental mistakes kill you…..and Manny showed his inexperience today……once being too aggressive (AGAIN) on the basepaths and almost getting hung out to dry rounding 2nd…..and then on a play I am still scratching my head about…….all the time in the world, does a little swipe play on a one hop throw from Sandoval……hell, I would like to see you pull that on a grounder…….but hell, I may be in the minority…..but I still think you keep running him out there…….don't crush the kid now……..

SMACK OF THE STICK :
BATS
Well…..its really a given……Giants just LOVE making outs…….

GAMEBALL and JOKE 4/21 PADRES AT GIANTS

GAMEBALL and JOKE
4/21 PADRES AT GIANTS

GAMEBALL

CAIN

Fuck the haters…….Cain is a HORSE with BIG RIGHT ARM……shrugging off the bad luck of the past and the adversity of the present, Cain put up ANOTHER strong outing to move to 2-0…….Cain stepped up when things looked like they could fall apart…..first after the "non-error" by Ishikawa….and then again on what SHOULD have been a DP at the plate…….

TIP OF THE CAP :
RENTERIA
Overpaid, underperform…….certainly not a fan favorite…..but if the guy has done one thing in the Majors…he has hit…..and that’s what he did tonight…..with 3 hits including a game breaking SLAM off Peavy that left no doubt about this game………He may not have Vizquel's range, sure hands, or charisma…..but he just might provide something this team needs more than Olsen Twins need a Krispy Kreme….and that my friends is offense……..

ISHI
Looks to be coming alive with the bat, and just in time cause there is no shortage of AAAA players waiting to hit .220 in his place…….

SCHIERHOLTZ/ TORRES
I saw em play….no seriously……they were out there I swear…….

JOKER

HOT DOG BABY

OK, what the hell goes through your mind in pregame………
Well we need to make sure the baby is warm…..but that jacket just doesn’t look edible enough…..HEY….. I bet the costume we used for the Dog Days of August Parade will fit on the baby……..so after using a lint brush to clean off the dog hair…..you put the fruit of your loins in the Hot Dog Suit………. Good God, what if Pablo gets hungry????? I really don't want to read those headlines……

But THAT’S not embarrassment enough……you sit front row and start mugging for the camera…….HEY…..this kid can get me on TV!!!...totally worth the years of Therapist bills sure to come……..
"Hey Doc….I have this irrational fear of Sauerkraut and Relish…..and I keep having dreams of some guy in a blue helmet named Merkin saying he wanted to make me Sausage Review #21….."

SMACK OF THE STICK :
ISHI
One hand pats on the back, the other smacks with the stick…….
Missed Joker by a hair…….but the bat was stroking and I can't beat on the kid too hard after a good win…….
Ishi known for the leather, Ishikawa got the assist on the Padres first run with an Ole' play on a shorthop……I could here the Snow Pack screaming in my head…..JT WOULDA HAD THAT……

General Gripe…….
Play at the plate…..catchers always do this…..the receive the ball in front of the plate and turn and sweep………
Sure if the runner is bearing down on you, I can see not standing in the path…….but when Molina took the throw he CAME TO MEET THE BALL a good 2 feet towards 1st base, which made his miss the tag.
Was a perfect chest high throw, that would have been money is he just laid back and blocked the plate……….
Sure its Bang Bang….and maybe I am just too critical….but I swear I have seen many catchers do the exact same thing….and not being a professional catcher myself, I assume that’s just the way they are taught……..

Top 30 Picks........1982-2001......Hitters v Pitchers, College v High School

A debate ragging elsewhere on the interweb had me break this out of mothballs......
A few tweaks later and a new use for the data......

Although the debate is elsewhere, the question remains

Which is a better investment
Pitchers v Hitters
High School v College......

Just Wait until 2011?????

JUST WAIT UNTIL 2011!!!
has been the tongue in cheek battle cry of the 2009 giants as they look at the anticipated bounty that awaits in the minors……but something funny happened on the way to the 2011 pennant….the NL West is YOUNG and the Giants aren't the only team that will be formidable in 2011…..the Baby Giants might have a hard time making it out of the division, let alone making it all the way to the coveted World Championship……

On that note lets play a little game…..
Lets start with some assumptions (I have taken my liberties to be sure)

1) Screw the Padres and Rockies…..both teams are unpredictable in regards to payroll in comparison with the Dodgers, Dbacks and Giants……

2) The Giants, Dodgers, and Dbacks will resign any of their own players that will become free agents

3) The only players that make the show by 2011 are on the 2009 Top 100 BA List . I needed to draw a line somewhere…Bumgarner, Alderson, Villalona, Posey, Parra, Parker, and Lambo…..sorry no Noonan or Crawford…..but no Bell or Lindblom, no Miley or Schlereth ……if anything this would seem to favor the Giants……..

4) The rest of the players come from the current Active Roster or DL

5) I make the best/ youngest lineup I can

As you can see, there will be a ton of
youngsters (under 25)
players in their prime (25-31)

For the Dodgers
In their Prime
Russell Martin, James Loney, Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, Blake DeWitt , Chad Billingsley, James McDonald and Jonathan Broxton

Youngsters
Clayton Kershaw, and Andrew Lambo

For the Dbacks
In their Prime
Conor Jackson, Stephen Drew, Mark Reynolds, Chris Young, Miguel Montero, Felipe Lopez, Dan Haren, and Max Scherzer

Youngsters
Justin Upton, Gerardo Parra, and Jarrod Parker

For the Giants
Fred Lewis, Emmanuel Burriss, Eugenio Velez, Nate Schierholtz, Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Jonathan Sanchez, and Brian Wilson

Youngsters
Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval, Angel Villalona, Madison Bumgarner, and Tim Alderson

Based upon this faulty crystal ball, still looks like Giants will need hitting to keep with Jackson, Drew, Young and Upton…..with Loney, Ethier, Kemp and Martin

The Giants project to have the best Pitching staff, but the Dodgers and Dbacks aren't exactly poor as Kershaw, Billingsley, Webb, and Haren should still be dealing and McDonald, Scherzer, and Parker could all establish themselves……

And the Giants will still be green kids, going against players old enough to know how to play, and young enough to do it………

Giants fans better hope their prospects beyond their top 4 start to pan out, or that battle cry might be JUST WAIT UNTIL 2015!!!!

Hate to leave you with a downer….I am just calling em like I see em

GAMEBALL and JOKE 4/19 DBACKS AT GIANTS

Ahhhhhh…..now that’s more like it…….
Back to Back to Back Gems from Sanchez, Lincecum, and Randy…and the anemic offense and solid defense are enough to take a series from the struggling Dbacks…..so the turn around continues as the Giants washed away the thoughts of that horrible road trip playing the brand of baseball everyone was looking forward to……now lets even the score with the goddamn PADRES………

GAMEBALL and JOKE
4/19 DBACKS AT GIANTS

GAMEBALL

UNIT

Looks like the old man still has a few tricks…..Randy was efficient and dominant today as he slidered his way to to a 7 inning masterpiece in the Sunshine by McCovey Cove…..His arm that looks like a well used naugahyde bone might just stay attached long enough to reach the illustrious 300 win mark which would all but punch his stamp into Cooperstown……but until they he will just settle for a GAMEBALL

TIP OF THE CAP :
GLOVES
Wow…..deez boys can pick it…..Molina, Ishikawa, and Winn all flashed the leather today…..and Renteria and Lewis avoided looking like circus acts long enough to notch a big W…….

ISHIKAWA
Got the Giants over the man on 3rd and less than 2 out hex that haunted them on Saturday

SANDOVAL
3 hit day for the Panda……woulda been nicer if one of those hits came in the 4th…..

BULLPEN
What can you say…….THEY DID THERE JOB

JOKER

AUGIE

AUGIE????? What the fuck kinda name is AUGIE?????
Sounds like a redheaded freckle kid that ran around with Spanky and Alfalfa……
Well I guess if your parents named you Octavio, you would be looking for alternatives too……I guess Chipper and Pudge were already taken? I know how about "Dirt Midget"
Well the Dirt Midget took all his strength to flick a bat in the general direction of a Randy Johnson slider and managed to get enough of it to send it the other way down the line ruining the elusive San Francisco No-No……good job Octavio……fucker……....errrr....I mean JOKER.

SMACK OF THE STICK :
MELVIN
What the hell? Infield playing for a DP down by 1 in the bottom of the 8th?????
Conceding the 2nd run on a ball than probably becomes a out at home?
Maybe there is still a little allegiance to the Giants left in you =)

BOCHY
I have to assume that Randy cried for mercy, cause the last guy Giants fans wanted to see was Howry……
