GAMEBALL and JOKE 4/7 TUESDAY BREWERS at GIANTS

GAMEBALL and JOKE 4/7 TUESDAY BREWERS at GIANTS
OPENING DAY

First of all, what a fucking great day……after starting with doom and gloom in the forecast, Mother Nature smiled upon the Giants and cleared the skies of rain just in time for the game. a few ceremonies out of the way and the Giants were on the board……Contrary to expectations, the Giants bats picked up the pitching staff with a game so sloppy that looked like it should be played in Arizona….But win sends the fans home happy, and add a mini reunion of fans/ friends and it was just a damn good day =)

Been a while since I wrote these on a regular basis…..little rusty……but hey, got to shake of the rust sometime…..so………

GAMEBALL

ISHIKAWA

Long a sore spot in the Giants lineup, offensive production from the 1st baseman is likely the biggest wild card in the Giants offensive picture. If the Giants are to contend with the Dodgers and Dbacks, then they are going to need better production from this position. So in steps Travis Ishikawa, the almost given up for dead prospect from way back in 2002…..mashed his way from Norwich to San Francisco in 2008, and then put on a show in spring training……but is it real???? Certainly when the bright lights shine, Travis will wilt? Well the early returns are in and DAMN he looks like a big leaguer……
With the bases juiced and 2 down, Travis cleared the bases with a absolute missle to the deepest part of the ball park……setting the tone for the Giants bats ……..and for that alone Travis gets the GAMEBALL

TIP OF THE CAP
ROWAND
Once they lead was lost…..it was over……but wait a second…….new year…..new team…..new outcome…….
And the struggling Rowand shut up his critics for a day with an absolute BOMB to left to take the lead ……the turning point in the game

BULLPEN
Called upon to pitch 6 innings in relief, the Bullpen pitched just well enough to bring the win home……Shaky at times, but spectacular when they needed to be, this bullpen looks much stronger than anything the Giants have had since 2003….at least for a day…..

JOKER

TIMMY

How in the hell do you bash the reigning cy young award winner on opening day????
Not only that, but after a feel good win????
But fair is fair, and today's performance was just flat out disappointing……
Literally the face of the franchise, and every 12 year old boys new favorite Giants was as out of control as Keith Moon in a Hotel Room…..
Sure maybe the adrenaline was too much for the 24 year old to handle, but this is the big leagues….and if you can't handle the pressure…. then you are just a JOKE…..

SMACK OF THE STICK

PABLO SANDOVAL
Wow….this is awful hard…..first Tim, now Pablo?
Probably the two most popular Giants……
But I call them like I see em, and I certainly didn't like what I saw from our new 3rd baseman…. First a muffed exchange on a slow roller behind the mound…..next almost handcuffing himself on a chopper he should have charged……and then on a swinging bunt by Rickie Weeks…..goes to the glove and then attempts a throw over the top…..only way he has a chance at Weeks is a barehand and slinging sidearm……
Hey Pablo, if you can't make that play…prepare to have your ass bunted on all year long…..

DRUNKS IN CLUB LEVEL
OK, I don't mind people having a good time….and its opening day…..Ii can forgive the rowdiness and the running into people in the club level……but stupidity I can't handle……
from an overheard conversation in club level
"Why they pull Timmy so early?" Drunk A
"We got 159 games left, they are saving him" Drunk B
"Oh, so that’s what Felipe pulled him" Drunk A
I think my head exploded right there…..
