I watch the game when possible, and do some gameday during work…..but was able to catch some of the game on radio today, and man…..this guy is good……not only is Jon funny…..he is amazing at putting you in the game and capturing detail seemingly effortlessly without breaking the rhythm of the game……man do we have it lucky these days…we got the Giants game on the TV almost everyday, instant box scores, stats every which way you can slice it……way back in the 80's, you got like 20 Giants games a year on TV, and way too many Braves games……you got your box scores in the morning paper…..and your Roto stats were compiled by hand from the Wednesday USA Today……but for all the technology, the Giants broadcasters have been the biggest improvement……Jon is fucking genius…….when I was a kid, you huddled up next to the radio every night and cozied up to Ron Fairly and Wayne Hagin…….

"(flustered) Well, you know what I mean" - Fairly
To this day, no one has any idea what Ron meant….then, or any other time…….
Next time you are pissed because the game isn't in HD, or you only got the Away feed……think back to that little Merkin, huddled up next to his kerosene powered radio, listening to Neanderthals broadcast the game…and hell, you can even relax outside and flip on the Radio……
TIP OF THE CAP :

Did everything he could….leadoff single to start the game,….1 out double and left stranded….even a hard hit ball, with too much air in the 8th…..a lone bright spot in an anemic attack….

Man, 10 game roadie with rain delays, no off days (other than the long ass delay rain out), double dip and they come home 6-4….not bad……now sleep in your own bed and come out firing tomorrow……big weekend ahead

Man, speaking of we got it good……if this isn't the best pitching staff in baseball, it is certainly leading the Majors in "STUFF" Yes we are LONG on STUFF……too bad Jonathan has a hard time turning stuff into performance….good god, he is BLESSED with that left arm, if he could just throw strikes on a semi consistent basis, he would be a pretty good pitcher….and that’s without having to locate his pitches ANY FINER than the ENTIRE STRIKE ZONE……He's got the kind of stuff that makes hitters swing and miss then look at their bat like there was a hole in it…….you know how many pitchers only WISH they had STUFF LIKE THAT???? Hell, He's got more stuff then that entire 1989 team that made it to the series……

OK, I won't get on em for that near interference call…..no…..I got em here because of the outfit…….BIG SLACKS that makes them look like they are wearing Diapers…..Crimson Polo shirt……Flapless helmet…..and a BIG ASS employee badge…….
If you are going to steal the Ball Dude thing, at least DO IT RIGHT….
They are part of the show, make em look like it……Get them the full uniform, and lose the badge……heck that’s 1/2 the fun…..the older folks dressed up like they are going into the game….you can just throw some eye black on em, and bring em in…….

Franny got a tough luck E on that DP…..sure the throw was in the dirt, but a average 1stbaseman makes that scoop…..
Which brings us to Pablo…..he looks 100x more comfortable at 3rd and he was doing a pretty solid job over there…..if his arm is fine, move him back over there……sure Pablo can probably learn 1st if given the time, but WHY…..he CAN play 3rd, and many others in the org CANNOT play 3rd……you can leave 1st open for Ishikawa, Guzman, Bowker, and hopefully someday….Villalona…….at 3rd, who is he blocking? Gillaspie? That’s gonna take a while, even if he stays at 3rd….Rohlinger and Downs? Marginal prospects……Chris Dominguez….oh come on, he's not even signed yet……
BOCHY….LISTEN UP…once his arm is 100%, move his ass back to 3rd……..
