After the emotional let down that was the Panda campaign, the Giants were home with Tim on the mound going against a soft tossing AAAA pitcher Geer versus a sorely outmanned Padres team. As if in response to the injustice of the day, the Giants offense came through with 3 long balls and 8 runs and the Giants pitching kept the pads in check for the W… Great way to start the long weekend series, but only the beginning……

Don't take it for granted…… just like in the days of Bonds, you see it everyday and perhaps you get a little used to it….well with all this pitching day after day, it seems like it is like power…. you turn on the tv and its there… well Timmy was off his game tonight, struggling with control all night…. and yet somehow actually carried a no hitter into the 7th inning…..wow, now that is saying something, when you can get that far into the game without sharp stuff without giving up a hit…..and sorry, I know someone mentioned no-no in pregame….I don’t think you can jinx a no-no 6 innings in advance…..you CAN jinx it 8 and 2/3rds in advance…..don't argue, it’s a fact

Ishikawa, fresh of a Joker, sticks it right back into my craw with a 3 hit performance including his 3 start of the month without a strike out…In May he has 4 starts without a K, in June he had 3 starts without a K .so why do I care so much about the strike out? It’s the missing link that is preventing the true breakout of Ishikawa…Good things happen when you put the ball in play…Travis K's in the 30% of PA with a 4:1 K/BB ratio….this is the realm populated by a veritable gallery of chumps A Beltre, B Hall, C Davis, K Kouzmanoff and so forth….. He isn't going to survive down there, I would even go as far as saying he is lucky to have a Batting Average as high as .260……but hey, there are signs of life…..but I am watching the K
