FAR from sharp, but its about results……and Cain pitched well enough to win, as he navigated around Pujols and limited the damage from the rest of the lineup…..even though the 1 run was earned, that was a function of an intentional walk to Pujols then any real accomplishment on the Cardinals part…..Sure Matt has been a bit lucky this year…..but just think of it as payback for the hard luck he has gone through the last few years……

SHIT……one of the big difference makers in 2009…a day after putting up 2 solid innings and 20 pitches, he bounces back to throw another high leverage inning, with as nasty as stuff you will see this side of Lincecum……

Pinch hit double kept the Giants alive for a couple innings……what is it with bench time that seems to light a fire under these kids…….

That's a tough one, I could go a few different ways here……but have to tag this one on the Panda…..(proceed with the tossing of rotten fruit at me)……But hey, here it is……the play in the 10th was a must make, and with plenty of room he lets it clank off the heel of his glove….after playing at ATT, you should be able to make a play on ANY pop up you get to, hell high school kids make that play….hell softball players make that play after 7 beers…….add that non-play to the wiff on ball 4 with the bases juiced and nobody out in the 8th…..The Giants were outplayed period…..the only real shot we had was getting a crooked number in the 8th……Based Juiced, Nobody Out, and you got your wanna-be All Star bat at the plate, and you swing at a righthanded curve on the inside and low for the K…….if the Giants are going anywhere, we need our budding star to be the man with the game on the line……..

Our savior has forsaken us……after seeing his name appear on the HOT side of the HOT/ NOT graphics….Nate has gotten a little camera shy…..don't worry you worked your way off that list real quick with your second straight night with 0 for 4 with 2 K's
ISHIKAWA
The swing is there, the power is there, the contact ain't happenin……no one wants this kid to succeed more than me…..ok, his mom probably does…..but nobody without a direct financial or emotional interest in Ishikawa wants him to succeed more than me…..that sweet glove, that power potential, the turn around story reclaiming prospect status…..etc etc……but it AIN'T happenin……as everyone has noticed, his power stroke hasn't cured his whiffing ways…..and an 0 for 3 with 3 K's is telling me this kid has a lot to learn……now honestly, I think he will figure it out eventually…..but with the Giants suddenly thinking THIS YEAR and Ishi out of options, 1st base is a target, and Ishi could be ridding the pine soon…..I really don't want to trade this kid, but unless the Giants turn south real quick I think his days as a starter may be numbered…..hell, even if the Giants don't make a trade, they really should take a look at Bowker at 1st….yes, I know he's an OF, but he has played a pretty solid 1st in the recent past, and with the way he has been stroking in AAA…..he is needing a shot
