What a glorious day at the yard….sun was shining and not a single goddamn unicorn in the place…..shout out to Clash Fug and Croix, nice to see you all…..of course when I did see Croix I almost ran her over as I had a box of ballots obstructing my view as I lugged them back to car for Monkey to punch…….and shout out to OldDad….sorry you didn't make it, hope you car is in one piece…..

Now, my man crush for Andres is now well known…..but lets get this straight….I most certainly DO NOT have a poster of Andres on my bedroom ceiling…..the life size blow up doll maybe….BUT NO POSTER…..but can you blame me??? he AGAIN had a day with 4 hits in total including the game winner to send everyone home…..so good work Andres….keep it up…and its always nice to see those underdog stories…….

After day one of the Posey Era, the question persisted…..was he a God…a Demi God….or perhaps just a second cousin to God…..well, after Day two that question has been answered…POSEY IS A GOLDEN GOD……now we can argue further….if Posey is a God, is he so powerful that he could throw a pitch that he himself could not hit? only St Thomas Aquinas knows the answer for certain…and I bet he is doing write in ballots for Posey to the All Star game as we speak…..

Solo Shot gave us life and single in the 9th set up the tie…2 hits on the day, and they both counted in the final score…..and HEY didn't do anything stupid in left…..sure has a noodle for an arm though…..

So we did our little Buster Posey chant for a second day in a row….and got a strange reaction….Applause from the section??? and not just a smattering of applause….clearly a BUNCH of people were entertained…..yeah, kinda cool…but also kinda embarrassing….I mean…..how can you do that again??? it was WAY too popular the first time…..nothing to see here people….move along…..

Dude…..the ROCK of the PEN last year….with that sizzling fastball and big ass bitting hook from the right side…..but today….well, his old demons came back to haunt him…once a blue chip Royals Starting pitching prospect….never found the plate enough in his youth to stick….and after bouncing around he finally seemed to find a home in the pen the last few years…..but today was just fucking abominable,…..18 pitches…4 strikes…..yes, 4 of those balls came on an intentional pass……but Affeldt was just plain out of control….and you don't last in the show if you can't put the ball over the plate when the pressure is on……

I don't like the intentional walk to Reynolds for 2 reasons…..first Reynolds is a HACKER…..yes he may go deep….but its MORE likely he will HACK…..and second is Affeldt was all over the place…..suddenly he is going to get the feel back and deal????....and hey maybe Reynolds takes a wild hack at something out of the zone……and honestly, in general I don't like the move of EVER walking the bases juiced…..thats the only time a pitcher MUST ABSOLUTELY throw strikes and EVERYONE KNOWS…..why do you think everytime you see the graph of someones numbers with the bases juiced they are always hitting like .400+……..well OK, the real #s...league is hitting .256 on average…and .296 with the bases juiced…..2009..254 v 265 with the bases juiced…..

Got out of the Affeldt jam with 1 run scored…..but then gave up one of his own the next inning…..

Bad day, but at least he beat out that ball to tie the game…and of course provided the laughs with the rally caps….
