FINALLY, BASEBALL IS BACK FOR REALS!!!!!
Got to tell you, I saw the Giants were up 3-0 early while I was working and figured that Oswalt was having an off night…..but after watching the game I have to say Oswalt looked pretty good. Good pop on his fastball, curve and change working and not too many location mistakes…..the Giants just beat good pitching…..amazing…..

Good god, just thank the lord he is on our side….. Timmy brushed off any concern about his spring performance and turned in a dazzling start mowing down the 'Stros and making them often look foolish….the only blip of trouble came with 2 runners on in the 6th, but Tim quickly got the 3 and 4 hitters to end the threat. Tim came up big in a adrenaline game and got the W…….and the GAMEBALL

Bengie got the Giants on the board early in 2010 ripping an 0-2 double down the line for a long single, and then showed off his "wheels" going 1st to 3rd on a Bowker single off the Crawford boxes…..

DEROSA
Walked to get the party started in the 3rd, went oppo for a solo shot for insurance in the 8th, and even chipped in a nice play on a drive off the wall holding Carlos Lee to a single

BOWKER
Looked pretty good, with a hard single off the wall in left and a nice ranging play in the rightfield corner….

RENTERIA
Couple hits and a walk….and overall looked like a much better player that I remember…..decent arm….. even ranging into the hole and making a near nice play on a Carlos Lee ball in the 9th….if I am dreaming….don't wake me……

Sergio got a little too excited about himself tonight dancing off the mound after a K for the 2nd out…..the giving up a single to Matsui he looked shaky for a moment…..but I put him up here because he came back and Pence look down right overmatched as he bailed out looking like me when I was 10 being force fed high school curveballs from my older brother……

Defensive replacement couldn't make the scoop on the play to lead off the 9th….not an easy play…...but sorry, if you are a defensive replacement AT 1ST BASE you got to make that play…..good god, what a job description….defensive replacement at traditionally the least difficult defensive position on the diamond the vestigal appendage of the roster, completely useless like Rowand's Bat…..

Job security at the end of the bullpen is basically non-existent….perform or leave…and on the day everyone was watching Brandon wasn't exactly effective, giving up a couple hard hit shots and forcing Bochy to bring the crazy ass closer into the game
