Now THAT was a ballgame, not only the win but crushing of the Boys in Blue…I don't know about you but these early season games in LA are pretty damn nerve racking so its nice when the Giants jump out to an early lead knock out the opposing starter and Timmy can coast to a win……

If ever a GAMEBALL was deserved, it was today as Timmy dominated the Dodgers with his arm and with his bat……Timmy got the party started driving in a run with one of the most beautiful push bunt past the pitcher into the space vacated by the 2ne baseman who moved to cover first…..The Timmy smoked a single to Right center for 2 more RBI's in the 3rd….Timmy ended the day 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's and the only Giant with more than 3 RBI's in a game so far this year is Molina's 4 RBI game on April 12th….

Got his 2nd stolen base of the season on his way to a 20-20 season……and nice play on Furcal in the 7th……

VELEZ
Aaron who? Honestly, I think CF is Velez's best position, of course that is like saying Betty White is the Golden Girl you would most like to see naked…..But the he has brought his hot bat from the end of 2009 into early 2010 with 3 more hits tonight, and now with Rowand scheduled for surgery Velez will have a chance to contribute and potentially position himself for more at bats later in the year……

HUFF
1 hit and 2 walks, and a whole lot of goofy fucking hustle….man, I think I actually like this guy… its like watching a White Pablo….except taller, thinner, and not nearly as talented……

MOTA/RUNZLER/MEDDERS
Man, this bullpen is what Octobers are made of….and they got the job done today…..maybe not dominating, but solid enough to make sure the Dodgers couldn't make it interesting……

JOKER

HAEGER

Everybody loves a knuckleballer, especially when he pitches for the Dodgers and the ball ain't knuckling…..Oh man, that was almost too sweet, as Haeger's knuckleball did more floating than dancing and got the shit kicked out of it…. The knuckleball was so bad that he actually threw 13 fastballs and 16 curveballs, which were neither fast of doing much curving…..good god hope this JOKER stays in the Dodger rotation all year…..

Well, Edgar has come back to earth…..but did we really expect him to contend for a batting title?? Looks like he is on track for that run of the mill year of about .270-.280 with .325-.335 obp and a handful of homers….of course that is still a improvement over last year…..

Damn, you first start of the year is versus a knuckleballer??? That's gotta suck…. and now with Rowand and DeRosa out, Bochy is going to need to be real inventive to bench you now…..Velez in LF, Torres in CF, Bowker in RF? OK, maybe that wasn't so hard…..hey, is Jermaine Dye still available?
